The regional meeting of members of Eastern and Southern Africa will be held April 29- May 2 in Kampala, Uganda.

On May 14th the WAVA Network is to be launched at the Commission on Sustainable Development meeting in New York City.

To be held in Kochi, India as part of the 8th Asian Fisheries Forum, the Symposium will consider how changes in the fishing industry are effecting the livelihoods of millions of women.
Commission on Sustainable Development Meeting
May 05, 2008 - May 16, 2008;
The biennial review session for the Commission on Sustainable Development, CSD-16 will meet between May 5 and May 16. CSD-16 will focus on agriculture, rural development, land, drought, desertification, and Africa. WOCAN is the leading organization for gender.
