The International Conference onScaling-Up Strategies to Secure Community Land and Resource Rightsis being convened to provide opportunities for leaders and practitioners to collect, share, and synthesize leading strategies and experiences; identify how to raise the public profile of community land rights as a global development, environmental and human rights priority issue; and to provide a forum for development of new collaborations and alliances between different actors and interests around community land tenure issues.
The conference is being convened byRights and Resources Initiative, theInternational Land Coalition,Oxfam International, and theInternational Union for Conservation of Nature, who have come together to explore with aim of provoking an urgent up-scaling of efforts to promote community land rights. The Conference, organized with the support of theSwiss Agency for Development and CooperationandHelvetas Swiss Intercooperationwill take place September 19-20, 2013, at Victoria-Jungfrau Hotel in Interlaken, Switzerland.
Applications for participation are now open, with a deadline for submission of July 15, 2013.

Application Submission and Schedule
Applications should be made onlinehereby July 15. All applications will be evaluated by the organizing committee on the basis of the interest and ability of the organization to contribute to strategies to support community land rights.
Limited funding is available to reduce participation costs for candidates from the global south.
