On 9April, WOCAN Nepal organized a Civil Society Consultation (CSO) facilitation meeting for the Global Agriculture Food Security Support Program(GAFSP) in in collaboration withAsian Farmers Association (AFA) in Kathmandu, Nepal. Thediscussion of the meeting focused onhow the CSOs can influence effective involvement of their role in promoting women’s and deprived groups’ interests in the Government Office of GAFSP.
AFA, a WOCAN partner, had a mission to Nepal for the program from 6-9 April 2013. WOCAN also assisedin coordinating AFA’s mission. Dibya Gurung, WOCAN Nepal Coordinator also attended the FAO for follow up meeting with AFA representatives. Kanchan Lama, WOCAN Board Member and Nisha Singh, WOCAN Nepal Finance Officer, were also involved in coordination of the AFA mission.
