The international peer-reviewed journal Mountain Research and Development is seekingsubmissions presenting well-validated experiences in dealing with gender challenges and resistance togender equity efforts, and policy- and practice-oriented insights into effective approaches for genderpositive transformation in mountain environments (MountainDevelopment papers). MRD is also seekingpapers that present novel and sound scientific findings about specific relations between gender andsustainable mountain development or natural resource management (MountainResearch papers). We alsoinvite well-referenced overviews of the state of the art on gender issues in relation to sustainable mountaindevelopment, concluding with agendas for future research or policy in the field reviewed.
