On February 27, 28and March 1,WOCAN Board member Mark Blackden and consultant Margaret Bruce attended the Climate Leadership Conference in Washington DC. WOCAN was an exhibitor there, with a table display featuring the organization and the upcoming Women’s Carbon Standard. Approximately 300 people from business, academia, government and NGOs attended the conference. The WOCAN/WCS exhibit table was a lively place as Mr. Blackden and Ms. Bruce engaged attendees in conversation about the WCS and WOCAN. Attendees were enthusiastic about the WCS and many signed up to learn more about WOCAN and to participate in the stakeholder comment process for the soon-to-be-released Draft WCS.
