On 5-9 February in Kandy, Sri Lanka, WOCAN conducted the Gender-Integrated Planning Workshop for the “Capacity Building for Women’s Leadership in Farmer Producer Organizations in the Asia and Pacific Region” project. The five day workshop was facilitated by WOCAN trainers Dr. Barun Gurung and Ms. Dibya Gurung. The workshop focused on gender planning with an emphasis on gender analysis and including a field trip to the project site of The Smallholder Plantation Entrepreneurship Development Programme (SPEnDP) in Kandy. Twelve IFAD staff (5 men and 7 women)from Maldives and Sri Lanka participated in the workshop.
