WOCAN South Africa coordinator, Sefora participated in the meeting organized by FAO Director-Genderal, Jose Graziano da Silva on July 18, 2012. The meeting was held toexplore areas of mutual cooperation, and to share FAO’s strategic directions and decentralization reforms withsenior executives from civil society, the private sector and state–owned enterprises to establish strategic relations.
Along with WOCAN, the major organizations present at the meeting included Endangered Wildlife Trust, Grain South Africa, The National Emergent Red Meat Producers’ Organization (NERPO), SAB Miller, Land Bank, Mvula Trust, Food Agriculture and Natural Resources Policy Analysis (FANRPAN), Tiger Brands, Industrial Development Corporation, National Agricultural Marketing Council, Standard Bank of South Africa, Agricultural Business Chamber andAgricultural Research Council, Women in Agriculture and Rural Development (WARD).
