Daniele Ramiaramanana Elected to be the WMG Organizing Partner for the Francophone Africa region

Daniele Ramiaramanana, WOCAN Core Associate, is elected to be the Women Major Group (WMG) Organizing Partner for the Francophone Africa region. She is representing Association pour le Développement de l’Entomoforesterie et la Sauvegarde de l’Environnement (ADESE).

The Women’s Major Group (WMG) was created as one of nine Major Groups after the 1992 UN Conference on Environment & Development held in Rio. This listserv of the WMG provides information on Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. The WMG is steered by Organizing Partners (OPs). The current OPs are the African Women’s Network for Community Management of Forests (REFACOF) based in Cameroon; the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) based in New York; Fiji Women’s Rights Movement (FWRM) based in Fiji, GENDER-CENTER (GC) based in Moldova; GESTOS based in Brazil; L’ Associació de Drets Sexuals I Reproductius (ADSIR) based in Catalonia & Spain; Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law & Development (APWLD) based in Thailand; RAWSA Network based in Egypt; Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW) based in Malaysia; and Education as a Vaccine (EVA) based in Nigeria.
