The South Asia Women’s Network (SWAN), at its Fourth Annual Conference held in Kathmandu on 17-18 July 2012, discussed the way forward after Rio+20. They agreed upon their strategic approach, based on advocacy, leadership development and capacity building for change at all levels. The structure for implementation will be through a series of workshops in identified sectors.
They also issued a declaration on Gender Equity and Sustainable Development in South Asia.
