On 24-25 Sept, Jeannette Gurung attended the Carbon Forum Asia in Bangkok, Thailand. Jointly organized by the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and Koelnmesse, Carbon Forum Asia is 2 day Conference and Trade Fair focusing on climate finance, carbon markets and low carbon technologies. The event is hosted by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), organized in partnership with the Asian Development Bank, and supported by the Thailand Ministry of Energy – Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO), and the Thailand Ministry of Energy – Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE). At the Carbon Forum Asia Conference, delegates gained the latest insights and knowledge on the most current issues and developments in the UN negotiations for a global carbon market and the impacts it will have in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The event featuredover 70 global and regional thought leaders in carbon markets, policy, energy, financial and technology sectors.
