On 14 Jan, Lamia El-Fattal Masadiah, WOCAN Liaison in Washington DC, made a presentation on the “W+ Ensuring Benefits to Women”at the M&E Workshop on Social Impact, organized by the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstove in Washington DC, USA.
The objective of the workshop was to consult with members of the Alliance about how best to capture the social impact of clean cookstove technologies. GAAC is interested in addressing some of the data gaps and challenges they are currently facing to elaborate non-carbon benefits, beyond technology adoption measures. About thirty people representing 19 organizations from international development banks and organizations, community development financing institutions, private enterprises, academia, government, consultancy firms and NGOs and women’s organizations attended the workshop.
