On 26 Feb, WOCAN organized the inaugural Women in Agriculture & NRM (WARM) meeting in Bangkok, Thailandin an effort to build a local network of women working in these sectors . The 15 (13 women & 2 men) participants represented various organizations such as research institutes, carbon project developers, INGO andNGOs.The meeting provided a good opportunity to network, share and learn. After the introduction from Jeannette on the purpose of the meeting, which is to create a space where individuals working in gender/women issues can share and build network of support, other participants shared their experiences, struggles and enthusiasm to be part of the WARM group. The participants from Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and South Pole Group offered to host the next meetings.
