On 17 to 22 June, WOCAN held a six-day refresher training course on gender integrated planning in Chiang Mai, Thailand forWOCAN Core Associate Trainers of Asia facilitated by WOCAN lead trainers, Dr. Barun Gurung and Colletah Chitsike. The training introduced new tools and techniques to implement and train others in gender integrated planning. Here are the four modules covered during the training.

The training also included a field trip to The Lowering Emissions in Asia’s Forests (LEAF) Program’s project village in Mae Sa-Kog Ma Biosphere Reserve in Chiang Mai. The objective of the field trip was to understand the gender issues of the village by using the various frameworks and tools introduced during the training.
