On 19 June, an article on Women’s Carbon Standard (WCS) was published by the Thomas Reuters Foundation. The article focused on the development of the standard with the objective to compensate women for their climate change mitigation role. It also highlighted that the market figures certainly show there is a growing appetite for carbon projects with additional benefits and the challenge now is to develop rigorous and affordable methods to assess the benefits for women.
