State of Gender Equality and Climate Change in ASEAN

The Assessment Report on the State of Gender Equality and Climate Change in ASEAN aims to support ASEAN’s work on advancing gender-responsive climate action and resilience building at the regional level by examining the differential impact of climate change, vulnerability, and the adaptive and mitigation capacity of women and men. In particular, this Report sheds light on the need for gender-responsive climate action and analyses the gendered impacts of climate change in three selected sectors namely: Agriculture, Renewable Energy, and Disaster Risk Reduction. It also aims to inform policy-makers on better integrating gender equality considerations in the implementation of nationally determined contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement submitted by the ASEAN Member States.
